WALT explore different musical instruments and we are learning to give different types of music a go.
On Monday we had our second music session with Matua Jade. When we went into the whare we saw two microphones. Matua Jade said the people who are brave enough could get up and sing. We had to choose a partner and get up and sing. I chose a partner his name was Jaxon Beach. We were the first ones up. Me and Jaxon were going to sing bang. Then more and more people went up. I had a second go and we were the last people to go. I went with Ryan and two other people, and then it was morning tea.
We are learning about electricity and how to build a simple circuit.
In class we were learning how to build a simple circuit. We had little boxes that our wonderful Whaea Jackie sorted out for us. We had LED lights, wires, and a battery we also had salt an dough. We broke the salt dough into half and rolled it up into balls then we put an LED light between the salt dough. Then we put the battery cords in the salt dough and the LED light was glowing.WALT write a creative narrative story!
Once upon a time there was a little boy named Johnny he loved pulling pranks. He had a big sister her name was Milly. They lived in a little house by a big shady forest. When it was bedtime Milly was reading she heard a loud whisper. Mily said who 's there no one answered. She looked out her bedroom door Milly went back to reading and went back to bed. In the morning she had her breakfast Mily heard the same whisper. She saw who it was it was her little brother Johnny. She pretended not to notice her little brother. Mum said we were going to have a picnic in the forest. Mily had a plan. When they arrived in the forest Mily said i want to go for a little walk. She was going to sneak up behind her little brother and whisper in his ear. She snuck up behind her little brother and whispered. Johnny looked behind I am sorry mily that I scared you. But the whispering was still going. Johnny ran back home

We are using water to help us understand different scientific concepts.
Two weeks ago we were doing some science with Te Tinana. We were doing evaporation experiments, we got a cup of water and tipped it on the ground. Water evaporates in the sun and slower in the shade. Our second one was we got a cup of water, and got a piece of an ice cream lid and we put the piece of lid on top then turned it upside down and the lid was sticking to the cup.
